INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Independence Day is celebrated on August 15th every year in India. It marks the day when India gained freedom from British rule in 1947. The day honors the sacrifices of freedom fighters who struggled to make India independent. Independence Day is a celebration of the rich heritage of India, its culture and its people as well. It reminds every Indian of the importance of unity, the power of collective effort, and the significance of maintaining hard-won freedom for future generations. All SKIPS centers celebrated Independence Day with great vigor and enthusiasm. The day began with a special assembly followed by March past and flag hoisting. The teachers explained how the freedom fighters fought for our independence and the significance of celebrating Independence Day. Various cultural programs like singing patriotic songs, dress up to show cultural diversity of our country and patriotic dance was conducted in all centers. The Independence Day celebration helped our Samites to understand the struggle and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to create the sense of patriotism in our little Samites.
