GO GREEN CAMPAIGN 2023-24

With the mission of promoting conservation of the environment, SKIPS promotes GO GREEN THINK GREEN ACT GREEN CAMPAIGN every year. The purpose of this campaign is to create awareness in our Samites regarding the importance of our environment, the importance of safeguarding the environment and to teach our Samites about the activities which we can incorporate in our daily life to protect and safeguard our environment. The GO GREEN initiative will span a duration of three months, from October to December, and will encompass a diverse range of nature-friendly activities. The Go Green Campaign will be conducted at the respective centres and also will include home activities involving parents and Samites.

The Go Green Campaign 2023-24 commenced on Friday, September 29th across all SKIPS centres. As part of our Go Green initiative, all SKIPS centres will be embarking on a collaborative project with our young ones to establish a vegetable garden in the center. The primary objective of this endeavour is to instill in our samites an understanding of the importance of growing healthy food, maintaining a healthy diet and fostering a deeper connection with nature.

As part of the Go Green home activity parents are encouraged to aid their children in cultivating microgreens at home, providing them with an understanding of food origins and healthy eating. Another Go Green home activity is named as “Fun-Thrash-Stick” .The main aim of the "Fun-Trash-Stick" activity will be to motivate Samites to implement the 5 R's of waste management in their daily life and thereby take care of the environment.
